mindtroll plays two upcoming shows

Shameless promotional post about to happen. My band, the industrious MINDTROLL, has two shows in the very near future (Nair future?). The first is on June 16th at Death By Audio in Williamsburg (as part of Permanent Wave's concert series); the proceeds will go to benefit Support New York, which is a collective dedicated to survivors of sexual abuse. From their mission statement: "Our aim is to meet the needs of the survivor, to hold accountable those who have perpetrated harm, and to maintain a larger dialogue within the community about consent, mutual aid, and our society’s narrow views of abuse." This kind of advocacy is crucial, and focus on the organization is timely considering the recent acquittal of the two NYPD cops. The show is at 8PM; we will play last. The other bands bringing the noize will be awesome harmonic lady pop powerhouses Delta Hotel, as well as Clinical Trials and Cave Cricket whom I don't know but look forward to getting to know.

And then on June 21st we will play a semi-acoustic set (!) outside in the street as part of Make Music New York. The show will happen outside of the children's store Brooklyn Junior, at 150 Clinton Avenue in Ft. Greene, and we're playing at 6PM, after Plastiq Passion but before Toy Sugar.

Summer Friday MixxxxxxTape

I'm all out of words, so let me chuck two tunes atcha! Go put on your favorite T-shirt and sneaks and make yourself a sufficiently neon-hued Brooklyn Fire Escape (1 part Absolut Brooklyn, 2 parts carrot juice, a squeeze of lemon), and jump around a little to these. It's going to be worth it, I promise.

SooooOoooo catchy and great. Tami Hart said she wanted to make an album for punx to dance to, and I think this succeeded. The video is also GROSS & SLIMETACULAR in a really fun 90s way.

THIS! From the amazing-haired Robyn. Makes me wish I had a big ole dance hall all for myself. I'd blast some songs and make up a sweet routine and then I'd call you and be like "hey, come see my sweet dance routine" and you could learn it too.
